Crestron and Texas Instruments announce collaboration

Audiovisual Wednesday consists of a number of seminar or discussion events, presented in association with Installation Europe. At 3:00pm, IE Editor Paddy Baker will chair a panel discussion entitled _Pro AV and Entertainment: Still Two Markets?_ This will explore the reasons to why the worlds of pro AV and entertainment technology don_t work more closely together – and discuss what can be done to address this situation. The panel will comprise manufacturers and installers from the worlds of audio, video and lighting.

Also on the programme on Audiovisual Wednesday are two seminars from InfoComm. _Front Work for the Live Meeting Environment_ will discuss the importance of planning in delivering successful live events, while _Stage Lighting for Video in the Live Meeting Environment_ will look at the use of key, fill and backlight as well as selection and placement of instruments. Both will be presented by InfoComm staff instructor Andre LeJeune, who is also presenting a three-day InfoComm course at PLASA.

Andrew Sirs-Davies from London South Bank University’s will be giving a seminar entitled ‘Innovate the Entertainment Industry out of Recession’. This will look at Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), which are widely regarded as the most sucessful government grant funding initiatives in the UK. KTP projects aid in the completion of strategic projects, and help to transform innovative ideas into new products or services.

The Technologies for Worship pavilion will play host to two seminars for the worship sector: ‘Basic Video Projection Tips and Tricks’ and ‘Video Production 101’.

Also, Chris Higgs from Total Solutions Group will present a session on ‘Working at Height in the Entertainment Industry’.
