Cooper Controls brings amBX technology to Cogent lighting division

UK-based Cooper Controls has secured exclusive European distribution of amBX technology for the control of colour changing LEDs through its Cogent XC LED lighting controller.

amBX is an innovative technology offering an alternative method for the control of colour changing LEDs. It’s a product that makes LED control a very simple plug-and-play experience.

“This is an inventive and different solution for a number of applications from bars, restaurants, hotels, sports and health clubs, designer retail, through to home entertainment and high end AV systems,” said Cooper Controls’ Peter Coles. “The technology perfectly complements Cogent’s extensive LED product portfolio.”

Jo Cooke from amBX commented, "Our widely-patented amBX technology has been developed over a number of years so we wanted a company with a good reputation and understanding of LEDs in both entertainment and architectural lighting markets to maximise the potential of this product which is driven by amBX technology. Cooper Controls has all the elements, an enthusiastic sales force with lots of contacts and the Cogent brand is well respected.”

The key points of the Cogent XC LED lighting controller are its simple set up and ease of use. No programming is required as the box is pre-programmed with a number of algorithmic sequences that trigger a wide variety of lights and colour changing effects, through to video and audio.
