CMD launches wireless in-desk charging device

Porthole III is a wireless in-desk charging device which charges gadgets placed on its surface by using magnetic induction instead of cables. Porthole III can charge devices with inbuilt wireless receivers or those which have wireless charging compatible technology. Porthole III has an integral power supply so there is no requirement for a separate USB device to power the module.

When devices such as smartphones are placed on top of Porthole III, a ‘handshake’ occurs between the charging spot and the receiver device, the charger identifies the device and begins a wireless energy transfer to the device. Porthole III can be retrofitted into an 80 mm grommet hole, making it simple to install into a desktop.

The device is available in black, grey or white with a plastic chrome trim surround.
