CEDIA Expo – Multiple Unicam launches

test 15 June 2009

Unicam – European distributor for Audio Authority – is launching five products at Expo, and is also be showing a range of signal distribution and conversion products. Live product demonstrations include two new 4×4 HDMI matrix switchers and various signal conversion products that offer installers the flexibility to distribute a mixture of analogue and HDMI signals over Cat5/6.

The HMX-144 4×4 HDMI matrix uses the most advanced HDMI chipsets available from Silicon Image to ensure a reliable, HDCP compliant system installation, says the distributor. Control via discrete IR commands and RS-232 is designed to make the matrix as integrator-friendly as possible.

The HCX-11 HDMI over coax extender is aimed at the thousands of homes and businesses that have previously installed component video and RGBHV matrix systems but now need to be upgraded to HDMI.

With the HCX-11, the existing coaxial cable infrastructure can be used to deliver bit-perfect HDMI 1.3 video and audio over distances up to 100M, according to Unicam. System includes transmitter and receiver.

Also showing, the 1366: PC/HD scaler with pass-through is used to convert PC signals for use on an HDTV, or vice versa. The 1366 improves upon the already established model design by adding additional supported resolutions and advanced over-scan controls that allow adjustment for the perfect screen fit. Includes VGA to Component (HD-15 to 3 RCA) cable for component video applications.

Visitors can also evaluate the C-1071 IR to Bluetooth converter for PlayStation 3 and model 1360 component down-converter.
