CEDIA divulges networking course details2 March 2011
Two three-day courses on the theory and practice of networking will take place in March and May in association with Birmingham City University.
‘Networking Theory and Practice’ will be staged twice: on 15-17 March and 10-12 May. Birmingham City University is an accredited CISCO Academy Training Centre, running CISCO’s Systems Networking Academy Program for Europe.
Understanding both IP theory and practice alongside wireless infrastructures and how they work are key requirements for today’s installers. Accordingly, CEDIA has created a programme of courses that will be hosted at Birmingham City University’s CISCO labs and taught by CISCO Certified trainers.
“These facilities and trainers are the best available and will give attendees exposure to and practice with a range of CISCO enterprise grade hardware,” commented Peter Aylett (pictured), CEDIA’s director of professional development. “By the end of the course, attendees should be able to implement TCP/IP connected hardware in 95% of the situations encountered in a residential environment”.
There are a maximum of 12 places available on the course and booking is available until two days before the event with an early bird discount available for bookings up to two weeks before.
In addition, attendees are eligible for a discount on the normal cost of a blended learning CISCO CCNA course. For more details and to book a delegate’s place on the courses, installers should visit www.cedia.co.uk/education.
