CEDIA announces new board at AGM

Claire Scholes from LairdKing and Matt Dodd from thinkingbricks are the latest ESP members to be appointed to the board of CEDIA Region 1. Revealed at the recent CEDIA AGM in Warwickshire, the new Board now offers broad representation of members’ interests with representatives drawn from across the UK, Ireland, France and Spain.

While Dodd from Cambridgeshire-based thinkingbricks takes up the role of education chair, Claire Scholes from LairdKing in Cornwall will act as the new membership chair. David Graham of Grahams Hi-Fi moves from membership to UK outreach chair, replacing Gary Lewis of Future Systems who takes over as vice chair and treasurer.

Robert Hallam of InControl will continue to serve as chairman for one more year. Stepping down from the Board are Simon Buddle from SMC, who has spent two years as education chair, and Fraser Stride, who will no longer serve as outreach chair, having left Finite Solutions to work with Leeds-based property developer Citu.

The remaining members of the Board are Rufus Greenway  from Sound Environment (marketing chair), Marc-Etienne Huneau from DSR (international outreach chair), Adrian Blundell from ACB Consulting (expo chair), Wim de Vos from Genesis Technologies (international membership chair) and Olive’s Simon Williams, who will continue to serve as an active member of the Board as immediate past chairman for one more year.

Robert Hallam commented: “Representing the industry on the CEDIA Board demands considerable commitment and dedication. On behalf of CEDIA Region 1, I would like to thank both Simon and Fraser for the many volunteer hours they have contributed to the Association as well as for the high quality of their input which has been invaluable. It’s great to welcome new Board members who, no doubt, will have plenty of fresh ideas to bring to the table. Together, as a Board, we look forward to taking the industry forward with initiatives that are focussed on delivering value for all CEDIA members.”

A copy of the Annual Report which CEDIA produced to accompany the AGM is available to all members. For further information contact the CEDIA office on +44 (0) 1480 213744 or email info@cedia.co.uk.
