C-nario’s O2 Arena installation honoured with major award18 February 2008
The first phase, however, saw AVC supply and install equipment including 29 AMX Control Systems, utilising a combination of 5in and 7in Modero panels; an extensive specification of 65in Sharp LCD monitors, and an Exterity IPTV system capable of delivering TV directly to the desktop and a number of larger display devices. Where larger displayers were required, a combination of NEC projectors and Stewart Filmscreen Projection Screens was utilised.
“We have always provided our clients with bespoke AV solutions – however, this is certainly the largest project we’ve undertaken,” said AVC director and manager of audio-visual sales George Carnegie. “We’re privileged to have been chosen to supply Chevron with their AV. It’s great that organisations like Chevron are investing in the local economy, building headquarters like this in the city, and even more so when they use local suppliers.
“Having headed up the department here for over 20 years, there has been a definite shift in the work we are carrying out from day to day. Projects are becoming far more complex – bigger jobs that last longer. We are also facing more challenges with the way people want to communicate and how they use their multimedia. Supplying some of the most advanced and intelligent AV equipment on the market, coupled with completely unique communication solutions and expertise from the team at AVC means we can answer the questions and challenges.”
