BMB adds three brands to distribution roster11 February 2010
BMB Electronics unveiled the latest additions to its pan-European distribution portfolio – Axium, Parasound and ebode – at ISE 2010, writes David Davies. Axium multi-room audio systems are said to excel in flexible programming and system set-up, while Parasound has been developing audio electronics and home theatre components for more than 20 years.
Meanwhile, ebode is a new European brand formed in 2009 with a focus on providing affordable home automation products and plug-and-play solutions.
In addition to showcasing these brands at ISE 2010, BMB also introduced a number of new developments from other areas of its distribution portfolio: Niles’s MS-220 IR sensor with extended range and wide off-axis operation; URC’s KP-4000 in-wall remote with two-way RS-232 and IP communication ability; and the addition of Internet Radio to ReQuest’s F.Series music and movie servers.
BMB also exhibited products TruAudio, Terra, Atlantic Technology, Amina, Lowell, Sanus, FatCat, Mighty Brighty, Lowell and Planet Waves.
Reflecting on ISE 2010 shortly after its conclusion, BMB’s Renny Vos told IE Residential that it had been a "very exciting show for us. We felt that both the visitors and exhibitors were very positive, and the recession wasn’t mentioned once! The ISE show is a great start to the new year, and it just keeps on growing year after year. During the show, we had a constant flow of interested visitors to our four booths, thanks to the new brands and products we introduced: Axium, Parasound, ebode and [ebode product] LightSpeaker ."
Vos added that the new Axium KPC 2.8 colour OLED touchscreen (pictured) "gained a lot of interest as, unusually, it can not only be used as part of an Axium system, but also functions as a stand-alone keypad allowing operation of virtually any IR-controlled device".
