BenQ unveils host of new products at InfoComm11 June 2012
BenQ will introduce a range of new products at the Las Vegas trade show including its new CCFL T420, T650 and TL500 – 42in, 55in, and 65in – interactive flat panels (IFPs), new Blue Core Laser Projectors and the latest additions to the SmartEco Projector Series.
At 1920 x1080 Full HD resolution, the new flat panels offer dynamic contrast ratios of 4,000:1 and 9,000:1, while the LED TL550 offers 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
Key features of all three IFPs include: Optical Sensing Touch Technology which allows users to control their computer directly by touching the screen; Optical Dual Touch Technology which turns the displayed image or spreadsheet into a multitouch screen, when paired with Windows 7; Ambient Light Sensor, which Detects the amount of ambient light in its surroundings and automatically adjusts the display setting accordingly; and an integrated Speaker.
The LX60ST and LW61ST Blue Core Laser Projectors incorporate BenQ’s mercury-free blue core light engine, which uses a laser light source. This provides up to 20,000 hours of reliable brightness. Other features include an ultra-high 80,000:1 contrast ratio, 2,000 ANSI lumen brightness, XGA/WXGA resolution, and 0.6/0.49 short-throw projection. Two 10W speakers and microphone input are built in to the devices, while power consumption on standby is less than 0.5W. In addition to this the projectors contain SmartEco technology.
The latest additions to BenQ’s SmartEco Projector Series – in addition to the aforementioned projectors – include the MX816ST, MW712, MX716, and MS502, all of which are fitted with SmartEco technology.
SmartEco has a number of energy saving modes that automatically change the projectors energy usage and operation in relation to external factors. This is said to reduce power consumption by up to 70 percent.
