Audio over IP company Barix has released a new revision of its ABCL programming platform. The platform supports all Barix hardware devices and OEM modules across paging, intercom, music delivery and SIP applications. During ISE, Barix is showcasing its latest Instreamer for encoding, Exstreamer for decoding, Annuncicom for two-way audio and IPAM (OEM modules) products with the updated ABCL platform.

ABCL provides flexibility and open programmability to enable system integrators to customise audio over IP solutions to end user requirements in a cost-efficient manner.

Among other enhancements, the new version of ABCL adds GPIO support for the IPAM 301 and 302 modules in control applications. It also offers AD Gain control on IPAM 102 for MP3 files and support for a new LCD display on the Annunciciom PS16 master paging station.

Barix is also demonstrating the new versions of its SIP client firmware and Crestron RAVA application. The new SIP client firmware extends the compatibility of Barix devices to additional PBX server brands beyond the traditional Cisco and Asterisk relationship.

This allows users to support paging and intercom in a SIP environment, integrate analogue stations into SIP based systems and feed background music into SIP phone systems.

The new version of the RAVA application, which enables interoperability between Barix Annuncicom devices and Crestron RAVA touchpanels for door intercom applications, allows the Annuncicom to operate in full duplex mode. This supports acoustic echo cancellation for improved audio quality.
