New back-to back-kiosk – aimed at the retail, corporate and hospitality space – use HD cameras to detect audience behaviour

AV manufacturer Pioneer Peerless-AV has today (November 15) announced that its ‘KIPC2 Indoor Portrait Kiosks’ are now available for the latest flat panel LED and touchscreen displays.

Available in ‘gloss black’ or ‘silver’, the British manufactured back-to-back kiosks (screens on both sides) are compatible with screens between 40-65 inches in size, up to four inches deep and a maximum load capacity of 68kg (150lbs).

Customers can choose a kiosk with a Full HD web camera and/or two 35W speakers and amplifier. The web camera comes with a USB port, built-in stereo microphone with auto noise reduction, auto light correction, motion detection and face tracking.

Keith Dutch, MD – EMEA, Peerless-AV, said the kiosk is an ideal application for various indoor application settings, including corporate, retail, hospitality, transportation and stadium markets.

“With these new models, we are responding to customer needs for increased functionality and versatility, while retaining the installer-friendly and aesthetically pleasing slim, curved design of the latest generation KIPC2 kiosks,” says Keith Dutch, MD – EMEA, Peerless-AV.

“Back-to-back kiosks allow for double the advertising space, speakers add ambience to an environment and assist the visually impaired, and cameras can detect and measure audience behaviour.”

Key differentiators of the Peerless-AV kiosks include two ‘whisper-quiet’, thermostat-controlled fans that quietly exhaust heat from inside to ensure optimal operating temperature, together with user-friendly height and depth micro-adjustability to ensure perfect display positioning within the kiosk window. The kiosks also include an internal component tray for neat storage of media player and cables.

With a flat base that can be free standing or bolted to the ground, the kiosk allows for electric and data cable access, making it “easy to install” and “maintain”, according to the firm.

To maintain a clean aesthetic, the kiosk offers an internal tray for media players and cables, as well as lift off, bi-level rear doors that provide direct access to parts requiring maintenance. For theft protection, the kiosk features keyed-alike cam locks specific to the kiosk.

A selection of Peerless-AV’s new Kiosk range will be displayed to ISE 2018 visitors in Hall 12, Stand F90.

Dutch concluded: “We look forward to exhibiting some of these new kiosks, and more, on our stand at ISE 2018.”

AVTE has requested details on pricing and will update the article once received.
