AV Technology Europe Awards 2018: Full shortlist revealed

Full details of all shortlisted categories, plus details on the agenda and ticket prices for the big night, February 7th in Amsterdam. Early bird deals ending soon!

AV Technology Europe is pleased to reveal the full list of shortlisted categories for the 2018 AV Technology Europe Awards, which will take place during ISE in Amsterdam, February 7th.

The following entries have been successful and will now go on to be independently assessed by our team of judges.

AV Team of the Year

Best Large-Scale AV Project or Event

  • Bloomberg Global AV Team: Bloomberg HQ Auditorium revamp
  • Bayer: large-scale AV upgrade during relocation of HQ
  • University of Hertfordshire: AV installation within the new BREEAM Excellent science building
  • University of Huddersfield: campus-wide rollout of lecture capture
  • The Pink Floyd Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum

Best Small to Mid-Scale AV Project or Event

  • Birmingham Museums Trust: multimedia art exhibition
  • CityVerve Manchester Immersive Lab (CityVerve project, nominated by Saville AV)
  • Newbury and Crookham Golf Club: indoor golf simulation facility (nominated by ViewSonic)
  • Metamorphosis Show with Arcadia Spider (Arcadia Spectacular)
  • Cambridge University: fundraising event at Banqueting House

Best use of Presentation/Collaboration

  • Inmarsat iMPACT! Room: new collaborative workspace at its London HQ
  • Ghent University: integration of student-centric learning strategies inside, and away from the classroom
  • Medidata: new AV and VC facilities following its relocation to new London offices
  • University College London: wireless presentation soultions across multiple sites

  • Norwegian University of Science and Technology: creation of new suite of teaching spaces on ‘Europe’s largest AV over IP’ network
  • London Metropolitan University: AVoIP overhaul of ‘superlab’, nominated by POLAR Integrated Solutions
  • University of Lancaster: bespoke collaboration suite, nominated by Pure AV

Emerging AV Professional of the Year

Video Production of the Year

  • University of the Arts London: corporate video explaining how blockchain technology is changing the future of fashion
  • Derby County Football Club: upgrade of live production equipment to transform the club’s in-house match day and pre-recorded content to broadcast quality productions (nominated by NewTek)
  • Nationwide Building Society: Nationwide Legendary Service corporate video aimed at inspiring internal staff to deliver high quality customer service (nominated by fourtyfoursixteen films)

Amazing response 

“We are immensely grateful to everyone who took the time to enter our first ever awards,” comments AV Technology Europe Editor, Michael Garwood. “It was an incredibly difficult process for everyone involved in determining the shortlist, with all entries submitted at an impressively high standard. We congratulate everyone who has made the list and hope those that didn’t quite make it this time will come back even stronger next year.”

The winner for the Outstanding Contribution Award will be announced ahead of the awards.

Winners / Tickets 

Winners will be announced during the Awards ceremony, which will take place at the Café-restaurant Dauphine (Prins Bernhardplein 175 1097 BL Amsterdam), which is just a seven minute taxi ride from the RAI, or a 20 minute walk.

The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a drinks reception and canapés, with the awards taking place from 8-9pm. After party celebrations will then continue until 11pm.

Tickets for the event are now available, priced at €79 as part of an early bird offer when purchased before December 31st. Standard ticket prices purchased thereafter are €99.
