AV distributor Steljes reports SHAPE roadshow record4 July 2012
UK distributor Steljes says that it has just completed its most successful road show to date.
The annual event – called SHAPE – is now in its third year, and this year saw a 40% increase on attendees from last year’s event. The road show covered well over 2,000 miles, travelling to Reading, Birmingham, Bolton, Dublane in Scotland and then over to venues in Northern and Southern Ireland.
This year’s vendors village featured over thirty manufacturers including the latest solutions from BenQ, Epson, NEC SMART Technologies, Hitachi, TeamMate and Elmo as well as showcasing new Steljes vendor portfolios from the likes of Eyevis, Gefen, Ikon AV, Smart-e and CYP and SubTV.
“I thought the show was really good, it’s always nice to meet your contacts from Steljes even up to the likes of Mark Mason [National Sales Manager] as it helps make the event feel like Steljes do care about their customers,” said Richard Warwick of Original AV. “I thought the product line up was good with just enough manufacturers so that I could get round and speak to everyone. It was great to not only talk to those that I already know e.g. SMART but also get a chance to speak to new vendors about their latest solutions. I know taking a day out of the office isn’t always easy for any company, but I would recommend this event to other resellers as it’s different to the usual AV shows that you can go to and is very informative.”
The event included an opportunity for resellers who attended to win a BenQ DV M23 1080p, 3" touchscreen, digital video camera, which was won by Matthew Webster of Digital Message, Tim Beech of Quadrant Visual Solutions, Gavin Cockcroft of Universal AV Services and Karl Bolton of TGC Computers. Stuart Pool of nuVideo who won the prize draw for an iPad.
