Austrian delicatessen selects 3M’s Vikuiti Rear Projection Film

A problem with the image quality of the delicatessen’s former, competitive window display solution prompted a shift to the 3M Vikuiti set-up.

“The front window of our caf_ faces into the sun all day, so it was necessary to change to a new display solution capable of addressing this challenge whilst increasing audience viewing figures,” observed Andreas Wastian, art director of Julius Meinl am Graben. “We tested Vikuiti Rear Projection Film and were impressed with its reliable, round-the-clock performance, even in bright conditions.”

Lloyd Cole, European marketing manager at 3M Optical Systems, told II: “The Meinl am Graben installation is an excellent example of how a retailer can promote their products and services in an imaginative and dynamic way. The Viennese delicatessen is delighted to be able to use Vikuiti Rear Projection Film as a ‘free advertising space’ that they own, with the ability to present eye-catching, head-turning content to passers-by.”

The project comes during a period when Vikuiti Rear Projection Displays is experiencing rising sales in over 20 countries across Europe and the Middle East. Cole noted: “More and more organisations, ranging from banks, cafes and department stores to newspaper headquarters and TV studios, are realising the benefits of Vikuiti Rear Projection Film and, in many cases, it is selected to replace under-performing competitive products.”
