Aquavision brings Series 4 waterproof TVs to ISE

The appearance followed an eventful period for the manufacturer, which has seen it move to a new manufacturing/distribution facility in Hertfordshire and introduce a two-year warranty on all new products.

Aquavision’s product focus at ISE was on the high-end Series 4 range, available in four sizes from 19” to 40”, with the 26”, 32” and 40” screens all being full HD and all models featuring RS232 connection and infra-red codes to integrate with most home automation systems. The Series 4 televisions are finished with a polished stainless steel surround.

The LCD TVs are available in the same four sizes (19”, 26”, 32” and 40”) and, like all Aquavisions, are manufactured with heated screens to avoid misting up and are suitable to install in bathrooms, showers and wet rooms. Other features include two HDMI inputs, full scart input, IR in/out connections and audio output. The LCD range is compatible with hotel centralised systems and comes with IPTV input and accessory socket. A waterproof remote control, as well as a master programming remote control, comes with these televisions, which are now all available in the three finishes: polar white, black or MirrorVision finish. When the television is switched off, the glass takes the form of a mirror that is suitable for shaving, applying make-up, etc. When it is turned on, the mirror gives way to the television screen.

In addition, a super-sized 65” Aquavision television is available with an LCD or Series 4 specification by special order.

All new Aquavision televisions now come with a two-year in-home warranty as standard and an optional extended five-year warranty, which will include in-home repairs.

Richard Henton, managing director of Aquavision, described ISE as “a massive success”, adding to IE Residential that the show had been “particularly successful for Aquavision in appointing new European distributors, although we are always happy to hear from more.”

Other products on show at ISE 2012 included the Frameless range – designed specifically for bathroom retailers, hotel and new build markets – and the Framed range of ‘statement’ televisions.
