Alliance puts digital projectors on Norwegian screen network30 January 2006
Although Sense Vision, a division of Sense Intellifield, has only been in operation since the beginning of last year – set up to offer control room and advanced meeting solutions to the parent company – sales manager Oscar Hovland’s team have been working together for seven years and have built up a relationship with Christie over the past five.
The trigger for this latest development was the move towards digitisation in Norway. The contract with the B-Alliance cinemas was won by Media Direct Norge, who have been selling and producing cinema advertising since 1996 and have been working with Sense Vision since August 2003.
Having worked with dynamic display systems for several years Sense Vision proposed an innovative method of digital distribution. They devised a solution based around Christie LX66 and LX45 projectors and their own SenseNet player system, which is based on SCALA running IC3 software. “As this is a full digital production, we focused on the LX66 and LX45 – depending on the size of the screen – because it has wide signal support,” comments Hovland.
"We also prefer Christie because of the wide choice of lens. We are trying to achieve as high a brightness level as possible."
