AC-ET announces new Green Hippo deal

A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd’s Video division has secured exclusive UK and Ireland distribution for the Green Hippo Hippotizer media servers range. Developed over the course of six years, Green Hippo is billed by its creators as the world’s best solution for real-time video playback on events worldwide.

The exclusive agreement acknowledges AC-ET’s considerable success with Hippotizer in the TV, rental/staging, corporate and leisure sectors, along with a continuing investment in product knowledge, demo equipment, training facilities and technical support.

Lee House, A.C. Video’s business development manager, commented: “The Hippotizer range has always been, in our eyes, one step ahead of the rest in this very complex and ever-evolving field of technology. After inventing one of the first off-the-shelf real-time video servers with Hippotizer, Green Hippo then pioneered the first DMX-controlled solution to meet the needs of lighting designers looking to make the smooth transition into digital video lighting. Since then they have continued to support and push the technology forward, constantly adding innovative new features to the software. It’s been a real game-changer and still is the future of media display technology.”

A total of four models allow users to complement their different needs and budgets, while the recently introduced V3 software adds new components including UberPan and Videomapper.

In the wake of the new agreement, A.C. Video will provide a further increased UK stockholding of the Hippotizer range, backed up by all service aspects.

Looking ahead, House told IE: “We expect to see steady growth in the video sector this autumn as innovative products such as the Green Hippo Hippotizer range continue to introduce more products and features that enable any size company to harness the very latest entertainment technologies.”
