A Prospector’s guide from Thorn

Thorn Lighting’s new range of Prospector luminaires is designed to meet the demand for an attractive, versatile and economic spotlight tailored to all display applications.

The Prospector spotlights harness the latest ceramic metal halide and LED lighting technologies. The contemporary fittings are available in a choice of silver grey or white, with a choice of four beam distributions, and the option of track and pendant mounting. They are equally adapt at focussing tightly on individual displays, or washing large space with ambient light. The spotlight head rotates 365 degrees and tilts 90 degrees.

The LED option achieves the lighting level of a 35W low-voltage halogen reflector lamp for just a third of the energy consumption. The long service life (50,000 hours at 70% lumen maintenance) is supported by heat pipe cooling transmission, with the heat produced by the LED light engine dissipated from the body via integrated cooling fins.
