6th TiLEzone announced

The 6th TiLEzone London seminar – to be held on 16 March at the London Transport Museum – will have two sessions specifically for operators and owners of leisure attractions and museums, which will help draw professionals from across the world’s leisure-related attraction industry, and two sessions on business opportunities overseas. There will be an Electrosonic sponsored reception the night before at the Museum of London, which will enable TiLEzone participants to network before the following day’s seminar.

TiLEzone is being organised by Andrich International with support from UK Trade & Investment.

“Technology to deepen and broaden the appeal of museums, visitor attractions and other leisure-based facilities is moving ahead at a fantastic pace,” said Richard Curtis, Andrich International MD, “so it’s only natural that this TiLEzone should throw the spotlight on some of these developments and their likely impact on our industry. As ever, we have a top line-up of speakers who not only know their technology but also have experience of applying it to this market.”

Juliana Delaney, CEO, Continuum; Steve Shears, director of site search and acquisitions, Merlin Entertainment Group; and Linda Conlon, CEO, Centre for Life will contribute to a session that will also include a panel of practitioners to discuss the designer-client relationship and review projects that have been both rough and smooth. They will attempt to come to a consensus on key recommendations for new projects and how to avoid potential pitfalls. 

With suppliers of products and services looking for new business, as last year, there will news of upcoming international construction developments in the museums and leisure sector, with speakers addressing projects from Hong Kong, Brazil, Singapore, Turkey, Russia and Poland. There will also be a presentation on the Eden Project’s aim to have five other Eden Projects overseas.

“Our industry has never been more international in scope and the next TiLEzone will again reflect this,” concluded Curtis. “With the help of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) we will be showcasing some of the opportunities that exist around the world, and this kind of market intelligence will be worth the conference admission price alone.
